Ontario reports 2,584 new COVID-19 cases, 24 more related deaths

TORONTO — Ontario is reporting 2,584 new COVID-19 cases today.

The province says 24 more people have died from the virus.

The data is based on 42,320 tests administered over the past 24 hours.

There were 1,546 COVID-19 patients in Ontario hospitals as of Saturday morning.

Of those, 714 patients were in intensive care and 516 were on ventilators.

Ontario administered 154,104 COVID-19 vaccine doses on Friday for a total of more than 6,925,232 million doses given out over the course of the provincial immunization drive.
