Ottawa firefighters rescue high-rise occupants after second-floor fire

Ottawa firefighters scrambled to rescue people from a high-rise building early today.

Crews responding to a 911 call found flames and smoke coming from the second-floor.

They say they rescued "multiple occupants" from inside the building.

Paramedics were tending to some.

Firefighters were able to bring the situation under control by this morning.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
