Police identify remains found at park as homicide victim from 2018

Hamilton police say human remains found at a park last month have been identified as belonging to a 26-year-old homicide victim.

Police say the remains were discovered at the park on Oct. 6.

They say testing identified them as belonging to Jammar Allison, who was allegedly abducted from a parking lot in Toronto by three unknown suspects in June 2018.

The force says Toronto police have been investigating Allison's disappearance as a kidnapping for the past two years.

Police say a single bone was discovered by a resident at another location in the park in Oct. 2019 but testing did not determine the identity at that time.

Hamilton police say they have taken charge of the homicide investigation and are asking anyone with more information to contact them.
