Police investigate stabbing death of Brampton, Ont., man in Hamilton

HAMILTON — Police say they're investigating a fatal stabbing in Hamilton.

They say a 40-year-old man from Brampton, Ont., was found lying on a sidewalk with stab wounds Sunday morning.

Investigators say the stabbing had happened at a nearby motel, where the man had a physical altercation with an unidentified person.

The force says the man, identified as Christopher La Rose, fled on foot and collapsed nearby.

It says he was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they believe this was a targeted attack and are reviewing surveillance video to identify those involved.
