Police investigating Markham fire that left three in critical condition

MARKHAM, Ont. — York Regional Police are investigating a house fire that has left three people, including two children, in critical condition.

Emergency services were called to a house in Markham, Ont., on Sunday morning where they found three people with injuries who were transported to hospital.

A six-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy, and the mother, a 41-year-old woman, are all in critical condition.

The father was later located as he was away from the residence at the time of the incident.

A 12-year-old boy has not yet been located.

Significant structural damage is preventing entry into the home, although the Ontario Fire Marshall is on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
