Police working to identify woman pronounced dead after body pulled from Lake Ontario

Toronto police are working to identify a woman who was pronounced dead after her body was spotted in Lake Ontario.

Police say reports of a body in the water by the west Toronto lakefront park came in Saturday morning.

Medics attempted life-saving measures after the woman was pulled from the water.

Police say she was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A coroners investigation is underway.

Police say they are trying to identify the woman and are asking people with information to contact them.
