Toddler dies in hospital after being struck by vehicle in Zorra Township

ZORRA TOWNSHIP, Ont. — Provincial police are investigating the death of a small child who was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in southwestern Ontario.

They say the incident occurred just after 10 p.m. on 25th Line in Zorra Township.

Members of the OPP, Zorra Fire Services and Oxford County Emergency Medical Services all attended the scene.

Police say the two-year-old was rushed to hospital for treatment of severe injuries but was later pronounced dead.

There was no immediate word on whether any charges are pending.

Police say the identity of the child is being withheld as they continue to investigate.
