Fourteen-year-old girl pronounced dead after shooting in Mississauga, Ont.
MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — Police west of Toronto say a 14-year-old girl was shot and killed in Mississauga, Ont., last night. Peel police say someone called 911 at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday to ask officers to check on a girl's wellbeing.

Ontario reports 2,939 COVID-19 patients in hospital, 555 in ICU
Ontario is reporting 2,939 people in the hospital with COVID-19 and 555 people in intensive care. That's down from 3,091 hospitalized patients and 568 people in ICU on Tuesday. The province is also reporting 67 more deaths from the virus.
