Brace yourself, a rather bizarre shoplifting incident has Guelph Police Service working to ensure the culprits don't make a clean getaway.

The root of the crime is this: A pair of shoplifters stole dozens and dozens of toothbrushes worth a total of $6,204.40 at 10:30 p.m. March 25.

Police have released a photo (a.k.a. 'tooth pics') of the suspects, who were seen leaving in a not-so-flossy small, black, four-door motor vehicle. Trying to find the make, model and licence plate number has been like pulling teeth.

You know the drill, anyone with information is asked to contact Const. J. Knox at 519-824-1212, ext. 7363 or [email protected]. Anonymous information can be left by phoning Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online. You may be eligible for a cash reward (or plaque).
