Funeral mass was held at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Coniston this morning (Wednesday) for the teenager who died following a weekend dirt bike accident.
Justin Dennis Peroni, 13, was a Grade 8 student at St. Paul?s School. The young man is the son of Dennis and Paula (Farrell) Peroni of Wahnapitae. Paula Peroni is a trustee with the local English Catholic school board.
The tragic accident that claimed Justin Peroni?s life happened around 8 pm Friday. A one-ton truck was southbound on Hill Street in Wahnapitae when it struck the dirt bike Peroni was driving at the Dryden Road intersection. According to police, the dirt bike failed to stop at that intersection.
The teenager was transported to the St. Joseph?s Health Centre where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation is continuing and witnesses are urged to contact Sudbury police at 675-9171 ext. 2633 or 2209.
