Alcohol a factor in ATV crash: police

Alcohol is suspected in an ATV crash on Simmons Road in Rayside-Balfour, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. A 37-year-old man driving his ATV on May 16 at 9 p.m. lost control of the vehicle. He was thrown from the vehicle and landed on the road.

Alcohol is suspected in an ATV crash on Simmons Road in Rayside-Balfour, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

A 37-year-old man driving his ATV on May 16 at 9 p.m. lost control of the vehicle. He was thrown from the vehicle and landed on the road. He wasn't wearing a helmet, but suffered minor injuries including broken ribs.

“Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collisions,” Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news release.

The matter remains under investigation.
