A 44-year-old man had his licence suspended for a third time, when he was allegedly caught driving impaired on Jan. 26, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

At the time of the incident, the driver was already under a driving suspension.

Officers witnessed a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee driving eastbound in the westbound lane of Elgin Street at about 11 p.m. The vehicle's headlights were not on.

Officers made a demand for a breath test, which showed the driver more than three times the legal limit.

The driver will attend court on Feb. 27 to answer to the charges, which includes two counts of driving while under suspension.
