Alleged drunk driver hits rock cut

A 25-year-old man has been charged with drunk driving after he struck a rock cut near Azilda on Dec. 12, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. Police responded at 3 a.m. to a single motor-vehicle collision on Municipal Road 35.

Police responded at 3 a.m. to a single motor-vehicle collision on Municipal Road 35. The vehicle, a 2006 Saturn Vue, left the road and hit the rock cut.

When police arrived to speak to the driver, they determined he had been drinking and demanded a breath test, which the driver failed.

He was taken to police headquarters for further tests.
