Updated: Hwy. 69 fully reopened following collision

This is just the latest in a series of collisions that have closed local highways over the past week

Highway 69 has now been fully reopened, the MTO reports.

The MTO now reports the highway closure has been expanded to include a stretch of road between Parry Sound (Highway 123/Parry Sound Drive) to Highway 522 Cranberry (Grundy Lake Provincial Park).

Highway 69 has been closed in both directions between Pointe Au Baril and Woods Road in Carling Township (north of Nobel) due to a collision, the MTO reports.

The MTO reported the closure around 1:20 p.m. Monday.

This is just the latest in a series of collisions that have closed local highways over the past week, including a fatal collision on Highway 69 Aug. 8.
