One person was injured in a fire at an apartment building in New Sudbury yesterday evening, according to a media release from Greater Sudbury Fire Services.
Firefighters responded to the blaze at the three-storey building on Belfry Avenue at around 4:45 p.m. Feb. 10.
Just one unit in the building was affected by the fire, which caused an estimated $5,000 in smoke and fire damage. One person was displaced as a result of the fire.
“Always have an escape plan, and do not leave cooking unattended,” the fire department said in the press release.
