On Thursday at around 10 pm, a robbery occurred at the Pioneer Gas Bar at 1232 Lasalle Blvd.
A male suspect with a handgun approached the lone attendant and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot, northbound on Leon Street with an undetermined amount of cash.
Greater Sudbury Police called in its canine unit and the suspect was tracked to a multi-unit apartment complex on Agincourt Avenue. The tracking dog lost the scent of the suspect at this point.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 22 years of age, who stands six feet tall with a stocky build and blond hair that stuck out of a ball cap. He may have a small scar on his right cheek.
The suspect was wearing a waist-length black and white winter jacket, loose fitting jeans and a red, white and blue Chicago Cubs baseball cap.
