Barn fire in Chelmsford yesterday causes $20K in damage

A fire in a detached garage and barn on Lavalee Street in Chelmsford Oct. 28 caused about $20,000 in damage. Seventeen firefighters with Greater Sudbury Fire Services were called out to the blaze just before 2 p.m. yesterday.

A fire in a detached garage and barn on Lavalee Street in Chelmsford Oct. 28 caused about $20,000 in damage.

Seventeen firefighters with Greater Sudbury Fire Services were called out to the blaze just before 2 p.m. yesterday. Smoke and fire damage are classified as heavy.

Nobody was injured in the blaze.
