Blueberry vendor attacked in robbery attempt

The men approached the vendor earlier in the day and asked about buying blueberries. Around four hours later, at approximately 5:45 pm, they returned and one man struck the vendor in the head with an ?object.? They demanded the vendor?s money but he managed to escape before the men could rob him. The blueberry vendor suffered minor injuries in the attack.

The suspects fled in an older model, four-door brown car, believed to be a 1980s model Bonneville or Caprice.

One suspect is described at being male, about 18 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with light brown hair, dark eyes and wearing a red fishing hat, a T-shirt with red writing on it, red shorts and white sneakers.

The other suspect is male, around 18 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a royal blue baseball hat, blue shorts, a T-shirt with blue numbers on it and sunglasses.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating the incident and request that if anyone has any information on this matter to contact the police at 675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 675-TIPS.
