Just before 11 a.m. Oct. 13, a couple walking on O'Neil Drive West in Garson located the body of a female.

The Incident Command Center has been deployed to the area. Officers are on scene conducting a thorough ground search of the area for evidence, according to Staff Sgt. Al Asunmaa. Officers will be on scene throughout the night.

The west end of the road has been blocked to traffic. The public is asked to avoid this area for at least the next 24 hours.

"It is still considered a suspicious death and we are in the early stages of the investigation," Asunmaa said.
