A woman clocked at travelling 110 kilometres per hour in a posted 60 zone on LaSalle Boulevard was stopped around 8:30 a.m. on April 15 — not only was she speeding to the extent of “stunt driving,” she was talking on a cell phone. She was still on the phone when police approached her car.

The 31-year-old was handed a seven-day licence suspension and a court date in May to answer to charges of driving more than 50 kilometres per hour above the posted speed limiting and driving while using a hand-held communication device. Her vehicle was also towed and impounded for seven days.
