Crime Stoppers offering reward for arson

Crime Stoppers and the Greater Sudbury Police Service are looking for information about a suspected arson that occurred on Caswell Drive on May 10.

Crime Stoppers and the Greater Sudbury Police Service are looking for information about a suspected arson that occurred on Caswell Drive on May 10.

The Greater Sudbury Fire Services were dispatched to a fire in a parking garage that evening at approximately 10:30 p.m. In addition to the structure itself, among the items damaged or destroyed were two snowmachines, one personal watercraft and a boat.

The fire service called in the Greater Sudbury Police Service when it appeared the fire was suspicious.

The Ontario Fire Marshall`s office and GSPS are investigating the incident and have gathered physical evidence from the scene.

Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers is offering a guaranteed $1,000 reward for tips received before midnight May 21, if the information leads to an arrest.

The standard process for determining reward amounts will apply for tips received after the deadline.
