Last Sunday, around 7:15 pm, a deaf male was walking home from a local confectionery store with his evening groceries. While in the area of the Trinity church, at the corner of Burton and Jean Streets, two culprits approached him from behind, while one man grabbed his ear and pulled it, then put a knife to the victim?s face.

The victim attempted to protect himself and was then kicked in the side by the second suspect. As a result of being struck, the victim fell to the ground
hitting his knee on a sewer grate. At this point one suspect held the victim down as the other frisked his pockets looking for valuables.

When a car approached, the victim was able to yell for help, which scared off the suspects. Not being satisfied with their take, the robbers stole the victim?s groceries as they fled.

The victim suffered a cut to his hand while trying to defend himself.
