Dirt bike driver killed in collision

One person is dead following an early morning collision involving a mini dirt bike and a motor vehicle in Whitefish, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.


The collision happened shortly after 5 a.m. on Municipal Road 55 between King Street and Caroline Street in Whitefish. The mini dirt bike was hit by the other vehicle. The driver of the dirt bike was rushed to Health Sciences North, but was pronounced dead.

The driver of the motor vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Municipal Road 55 is currently closed.
