A 27-year-old Espanola man has been charged with theft under $5,000 after allegedly stealing a donation box from a business in his home community.
The Manitoulin OPP received a call about the theft from a business on Station Road Jan. 4.
An investigation revealed that on Dec. 29, a man had removed the donation box. The OPP were able to identify the suspect, who was subsequently charged.
He is due to appeared in Espanola court March 4.
