Two Sudbury men, both 21 and of no fixed address, face serious weapons charges following a major disturbance downtown last Saturday evening.
Sudbury Police responded to a large disturbance in the downtown core around 2:35 am.
Information received from victims and witnesses indicate two male suspects had been involved in an altercation and had used pepper spray as a weapon.
The suspects then indiscriminately sprayed onlookers and people trying to assist the victims. Four people were sprayed and one victim was struck with a pepper spray canister.
Both accused face four counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, and assaulting police.
Both accused spent the weekend in jail and remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
