A 21-year-old man has been charged for making an unsafe turn on Highway 17 that caused a two-vehicle collision on May 17.

A 21-year-old man has been charged for making an unsafe turn on Highway 17 that caused a two-vehicle collision on May 17.

The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the call around 6:30 p.m. in West Nipissing. 

The driver is charged with Turn – Not in Safety contrary to section 142(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.

Four parties suffered minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The OPP is reminding motorists that before turning left or right at any intersection or into a private road or driveway or from one lane for traffic to another lane for traffic or to leave the roadway shall first determine that the movement can be made in safety.
