A driver was transported to hospital Friday with serious injuries, following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 144.
On Jan. 3 around 4:40 p.m., members of the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received reports of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 144, between Lively and Chelmsford.
They responded alongside Sudbury Emergency Medical Services and Greater Sudbury Fire Services.
Further investigation into the crash revealed that the northbound vehicle left the roadway for an undisclosed reason, before coming to rest in the ditch.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Highway 144 was closed for around an hour and a half Friday and re-opened in both directions at 6:15 p.m. that evening.
The investigation has been concluded. No charges have been laid.
