A Sudbury man, 34, faces drug-trafficking charges after members of the drug enforcement section of the OPP investigated a marijuana-growing operation north of Massey in the Whiskey Lake area earlier this week.

With the assistance of East Algoma OPP, police raided the area Monday and discovered 175 marijuana plants with a street value of $175,000.

The Sudbury man and a McKerrow man were charged with production of a controlled substance.

Police found close to 100 marijuana plants in the same area during a second seizure, but no charges have yet been laid in relation to that raid.
