Drug charges laid against Skead resident

Sudbury police, the Mounties and OPP have joined forces on more drug busts.

The joint forces street team searched a Lloyd Street home Wednesday and seized $1,600 worth of marijuana, a small quantity of hashish and over $5,000 in cash.

A 38-year-old resident was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime and obstructing police.
Edwards Weeks was scheduled to appear in bail court Thursday.

On Tuesday the joint forces street team searched a Skead residence and discovered over $15,000 worth of marijuana plants and marijuana shake as well as plant growing paraphernalia.

Ryan Larue, 22 years, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance as well as production of a controlled substance.

The Skead man appeared in bail court Wednesday.
