Eyre Street convenience store robbed at knife-point Friday night

The investigation is underway after an armed robbery that took place last night at a convenience store on Eyre Street on Friday night.

At approximately 11:16 p.m. Greater Sudbury Police Services responded to a call placed by the employee at the Pinto Convenience store. 

In a tweet, Greater Sudbury Police Service reported the suspect had attempted to rob the store armed with a knife.

Police said the suspect fled with change and currency worth $200. 

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. 

No additional information was released as the investigation continues with the criminal and BEAR unit.
