The cause of death in a fatality at Greater Sudbury Airport is still unknown, said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour.

Janet Deline said the coroner's office is still conducting a post-mortem.

An MOL inspector attended the scene on Jan. 25. Due to privacy legislation, she isn't able to provide any details about the person who died.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating a death at Greater Sudbury Airport.

Unconfirmed reports suggest someone fell down a flight of stairs in the air traffic control tower. 

Those details have not been confirmed at this time. 

However, Greater Sudbury Police did confirm they responded to a fatality at at the airport at 11:35 a.m. on Jan. 25.

“There's nothing to suggest anything suspicious or criminal,” said Kaitlyn Dunn, media officer with Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Police, the Ministry of Labour and the Coroner's Office are investigating.
