Updated: All lanes on Paris Street reopened after collision

Minor injuries are reported  from five vehicle collision

All lanes on Paris Street have been reopened following a five-car collision this afternoon.

Greater Sudbury Police thanked the public for their patience in this matter.

Greater Sudbury Police now say the southbound lanes on Paris have reopened, and one northbound lane remains closed.

Greater Sudbury Police say traffic is shut down in all directions on Paris Street while the involved vehicles are towed. "Please be patient," police said in a tweet at 2:57 p.m.

There's been a collision involving five vehicles at the intersection of Paris and John streets, just past the Bridge of Nations, Greater Sudbury Police said in a tweet at 2:33 p.m. Friday.

Minor injuries are reported.

Initially, one northbound and one southbound lane were closed, but police now say both southbound lanes are open.

"Traffic is moving very slowly," the tweet said. "Motorists will experience delays."
