A former member of the Laurentian University Voyageurs hockey team is no longer facing a charge of sexual assault.

The player, Blake Luscombe, was charged on Nov. 15, 2016, with one count of sexual assault under section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Luscombe's case came back to court in Sudbury in February of this year, where the charge was withdrawn, court officials said.
