Former Sudbury Catholic priest Donald Holmes will return to court April 17 to answer to two sexual assault charges stemming from alleged incidents in Sault Ste. Marie 15 years ago.

Holmes, 62, is facing numerous other sex-related charges against several complainants here in Sudbury.

Two young girls alleged several weeks ago Holmes was involved in incidents in Sault Ste. Marie in November, 1987.

Holmes' trial on the Sudbury charges is set to begin in May.

Holmes, was originally charged by Sudbury police for alleged incidents 25 years ago when he was working at St. Dominique Church. The complainant was between ages nine and 12, say police.

Other complainants then came forward.
