Harold Barnes, 73, a Sudbury pensioner with a criminal record for drug-related offences, turned himself in at police headquarters yesterday. He will be remanded in custody until his latest drug charges are resolved.

Police are still looking for 19-year-old Chad Russell. He had been transferred to the Sudbury District Jail after having served his sentence, but was awaiting a bail hearing on other outstanding charges.

Neither man is considered a dangerous offender. The Ministry of Public Safety and Security is investigating the administrative mix up.
