Police Special Investigations Unit probing death

Although police and officials with the Special Investigations Unit are remaining tight-lipped about the investigation into the gunshot death of a Chelmsford man Friday, the dead man's family have planned a funeral for Wednesday.
A funeral mass for Michael Donald Karchie, 42, will be held St. Joseph's Church in Chelmsford. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 2-9 pm, and Wednesday after 9 am at the Lougheed Funeral Home in Sudbury.
Karchie was found dead in his Bradley Street home early Friday morning, four hours after police had responded to a domestic dispute at the home.
The father of two had recently started his own business, M & R Construction.
