Greater Sudbury Police tweeted at 7:16 a.m. this morning, that their team was responding to numerous collisions within the city.

Based on the tweet, the primary cause was extreme cold temperatures, impacting the traction and stopping abilities of motor vehicles. No injuries were reported from these minor motor vehicle collisions, which were contained to major city streets such as the Kingsway, Notre Dame and LaSalle Blvd.

Greater Sudbury Police encourage motorists to drive according to road conditions and take a bit of extra time when navigating Sudbury's frigid roadways.
