People who have ?borrowed? supplies from Sudbury Regional Hospital have an opportunity to return them without any questions asked.

The hospital has arranged for items such as pajamas, doctor?s suits, housecoats, pillows, sheets, bed pans and urinals to be returned at Jarret Centre drop-off points.

Missing linen and supplies is a problem in hospitals throughout the province and is very costly. Linen is often brought home by patients or their loved ones if they go home in an ambulance, are discharged from the hospital or the cancer centre, or clothes have been cut during emergency services, says the hospital?s supervisor of linen and supply, Jeanne Jakubo.

A couple of years ago, a province-wide study found that $1 million of doctor scrub suits were missing.

?If you happen to come across some of the linen or supplies, just put the material in a bag, mark it hospital property, and return it to any of the drop-off points, Jakubo adds.
