If you happen to be travelling west on Highway 17 today, a large stretch of the road is closed due to poor weather conditions.
The highway was closed between Batchawana Bay and Wawa this morning, and just before 2 p.m. this afternoon, that road closure was extended to between Heyden (a community closer to the Sault) and Wawa.
Sault Ste. Marie, like Sudbury, is under a freezing rain warning, while Wawa is under a snowfall warning.
