Bancroft Drive was closed briefly Saturday afternoon after Greater Sudbury Police received several complaints about possible gunshots.
After investigating, officers found than a man intoxicated by alcohol was firing a bear banger in his yard. No one was injured.
The man was arrested for breach of the peace.
Bancroft was reopened around 1:20 p.m. Oct. 12.
