Investigation concluded into fatal train acccident

Police believe the 16-year-old Barrie girl who was hit and killed by a train last Friday was wearing a walkman at that the time of the incident.
Police believe the 16-year-old Barrie girl who was hit and killed by a train last Friday was wearing a walkman at that the time of the incident.

Jodi-Lyn Borton-Gareau was walking northbound beside the Canadian Pacific Railway line one mile north of the Nepawassi Lake Road railway crossing when the accident occured. Borton-Gareau had spent the night at a friend's house in Estaire and was returning to her grandparents home on Elbow Ridge Road.

Members of the Sudbury detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have concluded their investigation into this tragedy.
