The fate of Andre Gervais remains in the hands of an eight-man, four-woman jury. Following a lengthy charge by Justice Archie Campbell Tuesday, jurors, who have listened to three weeks of testimony, began their deliberations in the Denis Villeneuve murder trial.

At Northern Life press time late Tuesday afternoon, the jury hadn't rendered a verdict.

If the jury hadn't reached a verdict by 9 p.m., they were to be sequestered at a Sudbury hotel and will resume deliberations Wednesday morning.
