Updated: Kingsway now fully reopened after collision earlier this afternoon near Chapters

The roadway is now clear, Greater Sudbury Police report.

Greater Sudbury Police say traffic will be closed in both directions on The Kingsway while crews remove affected vehicles from the roadway.

"Please be patient," police said on their Twitter account at 1:38 p.m. "This will not take long and crews are working as quickly as possible."

There's been a collision on The Kingsway near the turnoff to Chapters/Starbucks, Greater Sudbury Police said in a tweet at 1:18 p.m. Tuesday.

Both lanes heading toward Barrydowne Road are blocked, police said.

The extent of injuries is unknown. "Motorists will experience delays in the area," police said. "Please drive with caution."
