Hoping to find a lead in the case of a missing woman, Greater Sudbury Police searched the Bethel Lake shoreline Sunday but came up empty handed.

Daphne Kochar, 42, has been missing since Nov. 6 after she told her three daughters she was going to run some errands and never returned. Kochar's family has made several public pleas since that time for her safe return.

The Bethel Lake shoreline was searched due to the proximity to Kochar's residence and to a nearby apartment complex where her blue Honda van was discovered last week.

Police say they are in the process of creating a missing persons poster and will distribute it as soon as possible. Kochar is described as East Indian, approximately five feet tall, 175 pounds with short, straight brown hair and brown eyes.
