A Sudbury lawyer who was arrested late last week and charged with several sexual offences has been released on bail.
Donald Plaunt, 60, was released from jail Monday. There is a publication ban on the hearing procedures.
The charges, dating back from the 70s to present, to allegations of sexual abuse involving males.
Greater Sudbury Police Sgt. Todd Zimmerman says ?five individuals brought forward details? in September 2002 and police have been investigating the matter since then. The ages of the men at the time of the alleged abuse ranged from young teens to early adulthood.
Plaunt is charged with two counts of indecent assault on a male, two counts of acts of gross indecency, one count of invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference.
Plaunt?s next court appearance is Aug. 27.
