A man was charged Friday after bringing a gun onto Sudbury Transit.

On July 3, Greater Sudbury Police were called about a man sitting in the back of a bus with what has been described as a rifle.

Officers were able to stop the bus, escort passengers off, and take the man into custody without incident, said a tweet that afternoon.

The man was later charged with firearm-related offences and drug offences.
