Man charged for driving snow machine while impaired

Sudbury OPP charged a 27-year-old man from Killarney on March 2 after he was involved in a snow machine collision.

On Saturday, March 2, officers form the Sudbury OPP and the Sudbury-Manitoulin Emergency Medical Services responded to a single motorized snow vehicle collision on Hartley Bay Road in Killarney.

Officers attended and determined that the MSV operator had been consuming an alcoholic beverage. He was transported to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.  As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old man from Killarney has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired - Alcohol,
  • Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
  • Fail to Wear Proper Helmet

The accused received a 90-day automatic drivers licence suspension (ADLS) and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, on April 10.
