Man charged with stunt driving

Greater Sudbury Police Service charged a driver with stunt driving after being clocked travelling at 113 kilometres an hour in a posted 50-km/h zone. Police were conducting community patrols Nov. 24 at about 4:30 p.m.

Police were conducting community patrols Nov. 24 at about 4:30 p.m. in the area of Elm Street near Big Nickel Mine Road.

Officers observed a 2012 Volkswagen operating at a high rate of speed, exceeding the speed limit by 63 kilometres an hour.

The driver had his vehicle impounded for seven days and his licence was seized.
