Man in crisis arrested without incident, says GSPS

He is charged with uttering death threats and was wanted for assault and uttering threats

A man who was wanted on a warrant for assault and uttering threats has been arrested after police responded to a call of a man in crisis in the early morning hours of Sept. 26, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Officers were called on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. about a man who was threatening people at a residence on South Lane Road. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man in crisis. The area around South Lane Road was contained by police.

Just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 26, tactical officers took the man into custody without incident.

He is charged with uttering threats to cause death and is scheduled for bail court today, Sept. 26.
