Highway 69 S. was closed for almost five hours Wednesday following an accident which killed a man.
George Ross, 64, was involved in a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 69 S., near 12 Mile Road in Georgian Bay Township. The Stouffville man, who was driving a pick-up truck, was pronounced dead at Parry Sound District Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle, who was not identified at press deadline, was taken to Sudbury Regional Hospital, with life threatening injuries.
Ontario Provincial Police are investigating this accident, but say alcohol was not a factor. The accident took place over the lunch hour.
